Isaiah Sharkey

For the first time, Isaiah Sharkey is coming to Norway. The Grammy Award-winning guitarist, vocalist, and composer from Chicago has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young voices in soul, R&B, and modern jazz.

Many first discovered him through his work with D’Angelo, but in recent years Sharkey has also built a strong identity as a solo artist — creating a sound where groove, improvisation, and strong melodies move seamlessly between soul, jazz, and gospel. He has also worked with artists such as John Mayer, Cory Henry, Chris Dave, Lalah Hathaway, and Common.

On stage, he combines virtuosic guitar playing with vocals, presence, and a band that leaves room for both stripped-down moments and explosive energy. His live performances have made him a favorite on club and festival stages around the world.

With the new album RED, Sharkey enters a new chapter as an artist. When he now visits Cosmopolite for the first time, he does so with new material and a live show that demonstrates why he is widely regarded as one of the most promising guitarists of his generation.
