Omar Mollo feat. Karl Espegard & Lysandre Donoso

Often described as the «Ozzy Osbourne of tango», Omar Mollo is one of today's most celebrated Argentine tango artists. His live performances are nothing short of breathtaking, infusing each note with an interpretive vigor that evokes emotions bordering on the theatrical, a sentiment praised by the esteemed Argentine newspaper, Página12. 

As an exclusive artist of Sony Music Argentina since 2016, Mollo's extensive discography has been adorned with 7 Carlos Gardel Awards and 3 Latin Grammy nominations. He is a regular guest at all the biggest tango festivals in Argentina, and alongside his busy concert schedule, he also serves as a tango professor at Codarts University in Rotterdam. In the spring of 2024, Mollo will embark on a European tour, accompanied by two of Europe's most talented young tango musicians: Norwegian violinist Karl Espegard and French bandoneonist Lysandre Donoso. The trio delivers an exhilarating repertoire of Argentine tango and folklore, beautifully showcased in their collaborative work on the recently released album "Manifiesto" by Omar Mollo & El Muro Tango.

Karl Espegard is a virtuoso violinist and co-founder of the highly acclaimed tango ensemble, El Muro Tango. The group’s debut at a sold-out Royal Concertgebouw in 2019 marked the beginning of his successful journey, captivating audiences across Europe and Argentina. Karl's versatility shines through collaborations with celebrated artists like Alexander Rybak, Mariana Mazú and Herborg Kråkevik. At the same time, his performances at prestigious venues and festivals, including Oslo Chamber Music Festival, Moscow International House of Music, and Konzerthaus München, have solidified his position as a prominent figure in the international music scene.

Lysandre Donoso, an internationally acclaimed bandoneon virtuoso, has enchanted audiences as a soloist with orchestras like the Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. With a diverse musical background enriched by his Chilean and Polish heritage, Lysandre's expertise in Astor Piazzolla's music earned him a prize at the Fundación Astor Piazzolla competition in 2021. His refined style and captivating performances have made him one of the most sought-after bandoneonists in Europe.
